Usage Data: We collect information about how you use TravelAdvisory, including travel queries, countries searched, and interaction patterns with our ChatGPT integration.

Technical Data: We automatically collect IP addresses, browser type, device information, and usage analytics to improve our service performance.

Analytics Data: We use Google Analytics, PostHog, and the Facebook Pixel to collect information about how you use our site, including pages visited, time on site, referring URLs, device and browser type, and approximate geographic location derived from your IP address. Google Analytics may also collect demographic and interest data if available. These tools place cookies on your device (see our Cookie Policy for details).

Contact Information: If you sign up for an API key or contact us, we collect email addresses and any information you voluntarily provide.

If you use our REST API, we log: API endpoints called, response times, request IP addresses, API keys used, and request volume. API usage logs are retained for 12 months.

We use collected information to:

• Provide real-time travel advisory services through ChatGPT
• Improve our MCP server performance and accuracy
• Analyze usage patterns to enhance user experience
• Send transactional emails (API key delivery, usage alerts)
• Respond to support requests and inquiries

TravelAdvisory aggregates and processes publicly available travel advisory data from the US State Department. We do not create travel advisories; we provide access to official government information through our API and ChatGPT integration.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data with the following categories of third parties:

• Analytics providers: Google Analytics and PostHog receive usage data (pages visited, device info, IP address) to help us understand how the site is used. Google may use this data in accordance with its own privacy policy.
• Advertising platforms: Meta (Facebook) receives conversion event data to measure ad performance.
• Payment processors: Stripe processes payment information for paid API subscriptions.
• Email services: SendGrid delivers transactional emails (API key delivery, account notifications).

When you use TravelAdvisory through ChatGPT, your queries are processed through OpenAI's Model Context Protocol (MCP). Please refer to OpenAI's privacy policy for information about how they handle your interactions.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption, secure servers, and regular security audits. However, no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure.

We retain usage data for analytical purposes for up to 24 months. Google Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics configuration (currently 14 months). API usage logs are retained for 12 months. Email addresses are retained until you request deletion.

You have the right to:

• Request access to your personal information
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Opt out of analytics tracking (see Cookie Policy)

Our Service does not respond to Do Not Track browser signals. You may opt out of tracking by adjusting your browser cookie settings or contacting us.

TravelAdvisory is operated from the United States. By using our service, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States.
